I have to admit, this name doesn't ring a bell, and neither does "Zone of Interest." I don't recognize Justine Triet's name either but at least I've heard of "Anatomy of a Fall."
Really interesting take. I agree the director of Best Picture nom's shouldn't automatically be nom'd for Best Director, but I found it odd considering how so much of the roles under the Barbie umbrella were nominated (acting, screenplay, costume, production). To paraphrase an old article about the Little Women snub, "Do the Oscars think 'Barbie' directed itself?"
Regarding Margot Robbie, I definitely think America Ferrera deserved her nom. While Ryan Gosling was great, I just don't see how he holds any weight compared to the two actresses. Of course they're all in separate categories, so maybe there weren't many contenders for Best Supporting Actor.
Absolutely agree with a lot of your other points regarding snubs, like Bradley Cooper, Celine Song, Hereditary (and--don't kill me, internet--that maybe the Joker, while good, didn't deserve ALL of its noms).
