The grass always seems greener on the other side doesn’t it? I felt like the representation in the show felt “effortless” in that instead of trying too hard to debunk stereotypes or talk about hot button issues like parenting it just put together a bunch of real people who happened to be Asian, while keeping enough of their cultural background to make them feel authentic.
