Wow! Thanks for your honest take. I have yet to read the book and don't agree with all your points, but it's always good to be reminded to take every work of fiction with a grain of salt.
I'm not sure if it'll affect your view on the book, but the story is inspired by a real one: a White poet, Michael Derrick Hudson, changed his name to "Yi-Fen Chou" because he thought it would be easier to get published. Soon after doing so, a poem of his that had been rejected 40+ times was accepted for an anthology. He points to this as evidence that the publishing system is rigged against White people.
